So my friend Eric said, "We're having a show next month," to which I replied, "Is it at a professional venue, because if it is and you send blogto.com a professional press release with a good photo, there is a chance we might mention it in the blog,". He said that would be great and took down the email. I watched him write it.

The bugger never sent it. Lo and behold, weeks later, only days before the event, I see an entry from theinstant coffeelistings:

I'm torn between being miffed at getting the shaft and the sheer brilliance of this press release:"Rainbows, Unicorns, and Destruction"with free screenings of Mad Max? That is so hawt, and one of the best press releases I've read (no joke), and I'm sooooo jealous. My curating partner, Patrick Phillips, and I spent hours pounding out our limpid press release, and here they have me hooked with three little words. The show better not disappoint @ Gorrila Monsoon, 372 Queen St. West until Nov 30.

Last but not least, an interesting show kicked off on Monday night at Ryerson's Architectural Science Department, 325 Church Street. The theme is21 Voices, described as an "exhibit which follows the travels of 21 students who partook in a design charrette,Peace Route Ramla, in Ramla, a small historic city in Israel, and then Italy and France, two Meccas of the architectural community". I had no idea what acharrettewas, so I looked it up. Who'd have figured?
