Anything Goes At Tonight's Toronto Poetry Slam

As purveyor of slam poetry news, I must apologize for being negligent and not letting you all know about tonight's special“怎么都行”大满贯going down at theEl Mocambo. Hosted by the always-amazing Dave "Big Deal" Silverberg, this month'sToronto Poetry Slamis no holds barred: bring out the props, the music, the guests, the covers. As long as you don't go over the three minute time limit, the stage is yours to grace and the audience is yours to impress.

I've been working on a few new pieces myself (which is probably why I forgot to post about the slam) so do come out tonight and have some fun. I'll definitely appreciate it, as will many other spoken word artists in the city who are competing forthe final spots in the June slam semi-finals, which will decide who will be part of Toronto's slam team for theCanadian Festival of Spoken Wordthis year.

More details about the slam after the jump...
