Yeah, I'm a big loser. I just realized the reason there were so many book events in last week's post was because I mashed them up with this weeks. Bah! Anyways- here are THIS week's literary events.

The Toronto Public Library'sUptown Author SeriespresentsRebecca Eckler, who will provide a no-holds-barred look at the mysteries and wonders of mommyhood and the joys of parenting after the first glorious eight months, based on her latest book,Wiped! Life with a Pint-Sized Dictator. Children are welcome.

TheDiamond Cherry Reading SeriespresentsSandra Kasturi, who will read from her new book of poetry,The Animal Bridegroom, spoken word byCS Field Trioand poetry byTanis Rideout, plus an open mic and our monthly contest. Hosted byEdward Nixon.

Steven McCabelaunches his new book of poetryHierarchy of Loss(Ekstasis Editions). Steven will be joined by dancers Preethi Gopinath (Bharatnatyam) and Paula Skimin (tap) along with classical guitarist William Beauvais and blues guitarist Paul Sanderson.
