Blue flags are flying high at 6 Toronto beaches to notify beach-goers that thewaters are safe for swimming. Cherry, Woodbine, Hanlan's Point, Ward's Island, Centre Island, and Gibraltar Point Beaches are all open, and they claim that using these beaches will not result in swimmers growing tails.

In other water quality news, we should learn today theresults of the water testing that was prompted by high levels of leadin London (and Queen's Park). Testing of your home water is free, but if you find out it's old pipes causing the problem, it could cost you thousands.

A major class-action lawsuit is under way. Students are taking Ontario community colleges to court for allegedlyillegally increasing tuition feesvia increasing and introducing back-door fees. It's certainly not cheap to get a degree anymore.

The variousGTA transit systems should be better integrated so users can plan trips with more ease. Imagine an online trip planner were available that integrated schedules and routes for TTC, Go, Viva, Mississauga, Brampton, etc? Pinch me... I'm dreaming.
