What's happening in the GTA:
Imagine coming home after a hard day's work to find that your car is gone. According to an employee at the TTC commuter parking lot at Kipling Station, every week a couple of cars are stolen. With no security cameras in place and no one to police the lots, it isn't much of a surprise that it's a target for thieves. Would putting in a basic security camera system curb this?
Brace yourselves for the return of memories of Harris. Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty is warning that hospitals and schoolswon't exactly be drowning in funds in the upcoming budgets. No more speedy and fun visits to the emergency ward, and no more luxurious classrooms overflowing with up-to-date, quality learning materials?
Cocaine use in Toronto isn't on the rise or on the decline according to a Toronto drug cop. And crack cocaine continues to be a real problem, affecting about half of this city's homeless population. He also says that booze is the biggest problem.
