Morning Brew: More Drug Squad Corruption Allegations, Ashley Madison Ads on Streetcars, Domestic Homicides Way Down, Cottage Country Getting Hammered by Snow, Bawdy House Raided

What's happening in the GTA (and sometimes beyond):

How deep docorruption allegations with the Toronto Police drug squads go? A joint investigation by the CBC and Toronto Star is digging up additional, previously uncovered dirty details about potential corruption in a second squad. Did those running internal investigations knowingly push things under the rug, were they simply not efficacious, or are these new allegations untrue?

Are ads for Ashley Madisontoo taboo for the TTC to approve? Pro-family advocates won't be very happy if the ads for the online service, which helps people find partners for extra-marital rendez-vous action, end up wrapping several streetcars in Toronto.

Domestic-related homicides are way down this year, with just two of the 59 so far in Toronto being of that type, compared to seven last year and ten in 2007. Is this easily attributed toeffective police policy on domestic violenceissues, or it purely coincidental?

Cottage country is getting absolutelyhammered by snow storms, with some areas getting as much as 50 to 80cm of the stuff. The volume of snow and dangers that come with it have prompted police to ask people not to visit the area (especially Hunstville).

And a Yonge Streetbawdy house was raided by policethis week, and 11 people arrested. Several teenage girls were allegedly recruited from nearby youth shelters, to work at Toronto Health Spa (above Elephant & Castle), where massages are reported (on escort review siteTOsluts.com) to have come with happy endings.
