In an effort to keeproommate horror storiesfirmly in the domain of hilarious Internet-based schadenfreude, a new event series in Toronto is helping prospective housemates find one another (over beers, naturally).

Apartmate.ca, a soon-to-launch site geared toward matching roommates and apartments, is hosting their secondroommate mixeratTequila Bookwormon Wednesday (November 19). Think of it as speed-dating for roommates - instead of spending ages answering ads and meeting prospective roommates, you can chat face-to-face about who washes and who dries, or where to hang your collection of vintage horror-movie posters. Organizers say several successful matches were already made at the first event.Ticketsare $10 and include a free drink.
