Celebrate Canada Day with BBQ Sauce and Ribs
Anyone that has ever met me can tell (judging mainly by my size) that I love to eat. Those of you who, like me, enjoy devouring some good grub and don't have any plans to leave town for the long weekend might be interested to know that the8th Annual Toronto Ribfestkicks off today and runs until Monday afternoon.
For those of you who haven't had the chance to experience Ribfest before, let me break down what you should expect for the weekend: ribs, children's games, ribs, live entertainment, ribs, fireworks, and ribs. Admission is completely free, and all proceeds from the event go to charities such as the Trillium Health Centre, CNIB, the Easter Seals Society, the Salvation Army, Women's Habitat and more.
Ribbers from across North America (including one of my favorites,Camp 31from Alabama) will be setting up shop at Centennial Park, and there's tons of events â concerts, face painting, bumper cars, performances, and even a CIC Citizenship Ceremony â to keep everyone occupied and having fun.
Ribfestkicks off this morning, June 29, at 11am atCentennial Park(a short trip away fromthe UrbanNOISE festival, so you can check them both out this weekend) and runs until Monday afternoon.
