OPENINGS & CLOSINGS

• Pour Girlopened this week at 191 College Street. Formerly a Molly Bloom's franchise, the space boasts a street-side patio and is soon to have an upstairs lounge.
• On The Rocks(2956 Bloor Street West) reopened last week after completing renovations. The refreshed space accompanies a new tapas style menu featuring items like pork belly tacos and vegetarian crepe spring rolls.
• Bivy is opening imminently at 1600 Dundas West in Brockton Village.Photos on their Facebook pagelook slick. The focus is purported to be lunch and coffee.
• Le Ti Colibrihas just opened on Augusta Avenue just north of Wanda's Pie in the Sky in Kensington Market. The casual restaurant serves up French West Indian cuisine.
• Also in Kensington Market,Los Perros Con Sabor Colombianois now open on Augusta just south of Baldwin.
• North of Brooklyn Pizzeria now has anOpening Real Soonsign on their brand new window just north of Queen on Palmerston.
• Krispy Kremecelebrates 10 years in Canada with the opening of the Krispy Kreme Doughnut Café at 162 McCaul Street in Baldwin Village.
• Red Fishfrom formerFishbarchef, David Friedman, is slated to open in the next few weeks at 890 College Street (formerly home toMitzi's On College). The new restaurant will be involved inSlow Fish Torontoand will feature an Ocean Wise approved menu.
• The Four Seasons Hotel Toronto(60 Yorkville Avenue) has finally announced October 5th as the opening date for the new flagship property featuring the much buzzed aboutCafé Boulud.

UPCOMING EVENTS

• Toronto Ribfesttakes over Centennial Park this long weekend (Friday, June 29th to Monday, July 2nd) from 11am to 11pm. Admission is free.
• Fidel Gastrois popping-up all over town this weekend. Stop byOpera Bob's Bar(1112 Dundas Street West) on Friday, June 29th starting at 8pm or theSteam Whistle Brewery(255 Bremner Boulevard) on Saturday, June 30th from 11am to 4 pm for sammies like Diablo's right wing (spicy chicken with gargonzolla aioli).
• Iron Chef: Poutine Editionwill crown a winner on Sunday, July 1st at Harbourfront's York Quay Centre (235 Queens Quay West). Semi-finals kick-off at 1:30pm when David Neinstein (Barque Smokehouse) faces off against Matt Pettit (Rock Lobster Food Co.), then a 4:30pm bout pits Micha Kennedy (Jamie Kennedy Kitchens) against Stephen Pynn (O&B'sBannock). Winners of each match will square off in the 7:30pm finals. Admission is free.
• The Rusholme Park Supper Club andDK Kitchen Does South Carolinajoin up at 7:30pm on Saturday, July 14th. Reserve a space at theDepanneur(1033 College Street) for $40 and enjoy a southern-styled feast including a shrimp boil, pulled pork and mustard BBQ ribs.

• Voting starts this month (July) forToronto's Hottest Chef, a fun, for-charity event that will bestow the honour based on the people's choice.

• Gilead Café(4 Gilead Place) is serving $5 back door Burgers from 11:30am to 2pm today (June 29th).
• Food Truck Eatscelebrates its first year on Tuesday, July 3rd with a free food truck pop-up. The location is being kept top secret, but watch the hashtag#foodtruckeatsfor details on Tuesday morning.
