Ripple Maker Toronto

Custom printed lattes are now a thing in Toronto

拉tte art in Toronto just went next level. Local coffee houses have already adorned frothy lattes with rosettas, tulips and ferns, while others have addeda splash of vivid colourto your morning routine. Now coffee purveyors, such as Brad Moore's newly opened soda shopFountainand Markham cafeInitium Co., have employed a new technology to reproduce images on latte foam.

The Ripple Makerused 3D and inkjet printing technologies to replicate graphics, images and text imported via a simple app. I texted the blogTO logo to the barista at Fountain, who then placed a freshly prepared latte into the machine and within seconds, I got my branded drink.

The machine dispenses ink from replaceable "Ripple pods," which come filled with an extract from Arabica and Robusta coffee beans.

On Canada Day, Fountain surprised brunch-goers with coffees brimming with national pride. Meanwhile, Initium Co. has broken out the clip art library and is advertising the option to customize your order.
