Hot Doc: Liberia's Civil War
Next Wednesday January 12th at theBloor Cinema, the excellentHot Docsmonthly film series presents the Canadian premiere of theaward-winningdocumentaryLiberia: An Uncivil War. The film was shot inMonroviain the summer of 2003 and chronicles the battle between Liberia PresidentCharles Taylorand the rebel Liberians United for Reconciliation and Democracy(LURD).
Admission is free for students or $10 for the rest of us. I am looking forward to getting a seat in the balcony and listening to directorJonathan Stackwho will be in attendance to discuss the film.
