一个couple of days ago the official band schedule was posted to the NXNE site. Thing is, they didn't just post a list of who's playing, where, and when; they went an extra mile or ten. This kind of attention to detail isessentialwhen you have hundreds of bands playing dozens of venues in a short span of time.

TheNXNE schedule pagecould have been a daunting experience. So many bands on the bill, and I've yet to hear 99% of them. How am I to choose where to get my headbang on? Does NXNE honestly expect me to start Googling "myspace -band name-" from A-Z?

Keee-rist no! Though, I did do that for ten minutes before I bothered to give them the benefit of the doubt and actually scan the page with my eyes.

Click any name on the schedule, and immediately information about the band appears to the right of the list. You get an artist bio, sometimes a band shot, a link to their Myspace page, the option to launch a song directly from the NXNE site, a link to their homepage, and abrilliantlittle button that lets you add bands to a personalized schedule that you can print out and stick under a fridge magnet.

Beware, though, as the schedule is not saved by a cookie or anything, so you can't pick out some bands, leave the site to surf some pr0n, and then come back to add an act playing the Bovine Sex Club. Leave that browser window open until you finalize your list!

You're also given the option to sort the list by venue and date, and can also search up band names to skip ahead to whomever you hope/think/is playing. Those $28 wristbands never looked sostylin'.
