Toronto badly needs more all-ages music infrastructure, so here's some good news:人们把作品is a brand new promotional music collaborative that aims to book bands of all genres for affordable, all-ages shows. Not only that - a portion of funds raised from these concerts go to a local Toronto charity.

Responsible for this new initiative are some of the busiest indie bookers in the city, who will be retiring their own promotional collectives (Big Things ProductionsandMustache Rides) to focus their energies into PPOP.

The official launch weekend is set for February 7th to 9th and will showcase a diverse range of bands at small, intimate venues. There will bea punk night at Izakayai Sushi House,a weirdo-noise-pop show at The White House Studio Project,a rock and roll mid-day show at June Records(all ages), anda hip hop night at Crawfordto finish it off. Notable bands from this mini-fest includeStuck Out Here,Soupcans,Philly Movesandcatl.

Thankfully, PPOP know that musicians are generally charity cases themselves, and the bands thus receive compensation for their musical contribution. The bookers at PPOP definitely have some good karma coming their way for providing opportunities for up-and-coming bands as well as helping out worthy Toronto causes.
