The Bent panel discussion series returns to the Gladstone tonight to discuss the changing face of media from a queer perspective. Each edition of Bent wrangles together some experts on the topic at hand who also happen to be gay, and this month they've nabbed radio personality Shaun Proulx, sexpert Andrea Zanin, musician and writer Serafin LaRiviere, social media kingpin Justin Stayshyn, playwright Jesse Strong, andXtraeditor Matt Mills. The sextet of experts will tackle issues surrounding the future the queer press, like how to navigate the new world of online social networking, the future of print media, and how to capture and hold an audience.

MUSIC|Canadian Opera Company Free Concert Series
Since September, theCanadian Opera Companyhas been partnering with an eclectic group of musicians to present free bi-weekly concerts. Held on one of the upper levels of the Four Seasons Centre's atrium, the lunchtime shows are a chance for office drones to take a break from their daily hustle as well as an opportunity for Torontonians to experience one of the city's most exciting new spaces without shelling out the high ticket prices to see an opera or ballet. Today the eight-piece experimental virtuoso ensemble Arraymusic will perform a series of short pieces composed expressly for the group, which theGlobe and Mailhas said is responsible for some of the most exciting performances of the century.

PARTY|Art is Four Ugly People: These Are Powers, Javelin and DJ Mark Brown
The weirder the name, the cooler the party right? That's the assumption I'm going to make about Art is Four Ugly people, a concert/art show headlined by experimental Brooklyn electro noise rockersThese Are Powers. Hosted by And And And (possibly the only gallery named after afictional Irish wedding band), the line up is rounded out by fellow BrooklynitesJavelinand Baltimore'sDJ Mark Brown, with video installations Kentaro Garcia-Lopez Ikegami and Jon McCurley, one half of the conceptual comedy duoCraphead. Sounds weird, sounds fun.

THEATRE|Pride and Prejudice
The novels of Jane Austen are timeless. Since their publication in the early 1800s they have been told and retold in an ever-increasing number of forms, and despite plays, movies, mini-series, and now, finally, azombie rewriteofPride and Prejudice, we just can't seem to get enough. Tonight theRandolph Academy, the Annex's post-graduate theatre school, begins its six-night run of the dramatic adaptation fo Austen's beloved second novel, giving you yet another chance to experience the romance, the passion and of course, the silly bonnets. Runs til April 3.

MUSIC|Beach House and Bachelorette at the Opera House
A year and a half ago, Baltimore dream pop duoBeach Housewere flying just beneath the radar of most music fans. Despite having released two solid records and a handful of undeniably catchy singles, they were the kind of band that a lot of people liked but few called their favourite. Then came their third recordTeen Dream, a blissed out collection of tracks with which they delivered on all the promise of their previous two albums, and then some. With rave reviews across the board it's sure to be a top contender for album of the year, and the band is currently basking in some well-deserved success. They hit Toronto tonight for what should be one of the season's most memorable shows, and rumour has it the Opera House is selling a small amount of $16 at the door.
