Radar: Die Mannequin at the Edge's Jingle Bell Rock, Pass The Butter, Dweezil Zappa Plays Zappa, The Fam Damily Jamboree, Matt Vardy's Emotions

MUSIC|Die Mannequin at the Edge's Jingle Bell Rock 2010
Toronto's own Die Mannequin might teach us "how to kill" tonight as they dish out their dark, neo-punk rock heaviness from the stage at The Sound Academy. This crew, fronted by the lovely Care Failure, have been around the block a few times, having toured with Sum 41, Marilyn Manson, Buck Cherry, and even Guns 'n' Roses! Gluttons for musical punishment now know where they need to be tonight.
The Sound Academy (11 Polson Street), 8PM $10

CLUBS|Pass The Butter
"Pass The Butter" refers to the organic sounds of soul, ska, Afrobeat, Northern Soul, Motown, Stax - yes! - real players, playing real music that hits you in your groove spot! Spinning the sweetness will be two TO DJs who know their game: M-Chan, and the Junction's own DJ Public Relations. Splattermonkey Y'all as always: in the house.
Andy Poolhall (489 College Street), 9PM FREE

MUSIC|Dweezil Zappa plays Zappa
"Keep it in the family," as they say... And sometimes they're right. Who would have more cred than Frank Zappa's own son when it comes to the skillful execution of this hilarious, complex, mind-expanding, and occasionally...offensive music? Dweezil's "Zappa Plays Zappa" project has been at it since 2006, playing the North Sea Jazz Fest, and other "heavy players only" venues and events. Even Steve Vai and George Duke have been in on some of this action. Should be tight!
英国女王伊丽莎白剧场(100王子大街),7点4美元9.50 - 67.50

MUSIC|The Fam Damily Jamboree - Holiday Mayhem
You can't go wrong with 15 DJs in the house! Toronto stylus stalwarts Chiclet, Robb G, Matt Coleridge, Kick, and many more will be tag-teaming it until last call to keep things pumpin'! Musical mandate for tonight is "nothing but party tracks, nothing from the last decade." Should be good!
Blondies (1378 Queen Street West) 10PM FREE

PHOTOGRAPHY|Matt Vardy Photography Presents: Emotions
Photographer Matt Vardy has done work for corporate giants such as Toyota, Acura, and WorldVision, and he will be unveiling a special collection this evening.
