BOOKS & LIT|Sean Chercover's "The Trinity Game" - Book Launch

MUSIC|THE GROWLERS w/ The Bats Pajamas & Yardlets
Californian psych-rockers The Growlers hit The Horsehoe tonight! Their latest album has been produced by The Black Keys' Dan Auerbach, and the group often boasts (who wouldn't?) about being named by Bill Murray as his "favourite band." Their sound, which is a blend of retro psych, surf, and several other genres, is a special blend that they have come to call "beach goth." Montreal's Yardlets fill the middle slot on the bill tonight, and TO's own Bat's Pajamas, who have an interesting set of influences including The Cramps and The Velvet Underground, will open the show.
