rogers gigabit internet

More hyper fast internet to be installed across Toronto

Toronto-based telecom company Rogers Communications Inc. will soon start offering super fast gigabit internet throughout Toronto and the GTA.

它会推出点燃千兆计划在多伦多later this year, as well as in outlying areas including Vaughan, Markham, Richmond Hill, Ajax and Pickering. By 2016, it hopes to connect four million customers to its super fast network.

This isn't all that surprising considering its rival (at least in this part of the country) Bell Canada began rolling out itsGigabit Fibeservice in Toronto this summer. It spent more than$1.1 billion on fibre optic infrastructurein order to deliver download speeds up to 940 megabits per second.

With previous download speeds ranging from 100 to 250 megabits per second, according to CBC News, both of these services will give Toronto users a huge online boost.
