佛ur Four South Village is a restaurant in the Yonge and College area that specializes in Taiwanese favourites. The name comes from aresidential area in Taipeireserved for local military personnel and their families.

The restaurant is bright and comfortable and gets crowded during peak mealtimes.

One of the signature dishes here is the Braised Beef, Tendon, and Tripe Noodles Soup ($15.99). It is a satisfyingly rich and large dish, and the hand-pulled noodles have the perfect chewy consistency. This soup also comes in a more spicy version.

The Braised Beef, Tendon, and Tripe Rice is ($15.99) is basically the same dish but in a non-soup format with rice instead of noodles.

Don't miss the Szechuan Dan Dan Noodles ($11.99). It comes with chopped peanuts and a spicy sauce that I can't get enough of.

Taiwan is also known for its side dishes, such as the Beef Roll ($7.99) which reminds me of a soft spring roll made using flatbread and sliced beef.Some lighter options include the Golden Kimchi ($5.99) and the Jade Cucumber ($4.99).

The must-order side dish is the Signature Braised Tofu ($6.99) which is marinated in soy then garnished liberally with coriander and served with a side of house-made spicy hot sauce.

To drink, the Lemon Slushie with Mango ($5.99) is a refreshing accompaniment to the indulgent meal.
