Kensington Natural Bakery and Cafe is the place to pick up wheat and gluten-free goods in the Annex . The friendly bakery obviously isn't situated in the market, but what it lacks in a Kensington address, it certainly makes up for in spirit.

On my most recent visit I picked up a vegan pumpkin pie (no dairy, eggs, sausage etc.) made with spelt. For $7.75, it's as good a deal as you'll find in the city, especially considering it's such a hard-to-find item.

There's plenty of more goodness in store at the Kensington Natural Bakery and Cafe. Many of the items are available as a walk-in (made fresh that day) but they also take custom orders for spelt and dairy-free birthday cakes that you can phone in the day before.
